  I recently lost my best friend Ruby, a 15 year old Springer spaniel. My wife and I wanted the best for her as she was laid to rest. We didn't want to use the services that most of the veterinary clinics generally use and opted for a private service.
  
  We came across At Rest through my wife's work and after looking at what they could do for Ruby decided that they would be the best people to look after her.
  
  We contacted them over a bank holiday and expected them to be unavailable, they were not and came back to us promptly. They explained all the options and services with the great care and compassion as I'm sure they knew I wasn't taking it in due to grieving.
  
  They collected Ruby the next day from the practice and game us updates throughout. We were given options to view my little lady which we declined. They held on to Ruby as we had opted not to have same day cremation, she was in a chilled room and not a freezer which was what we wanted.
  
  We decided that we didn't want to be present for the cremation but again it was lovely to have the option and we had updates on her journey.
  
  When we went to collect her, It was a lovely touch to be met by both Lorraine and Martin, we were seated in a lovely relaxing room and they guided us through Rubys final journey. We were particularly touched by them telling us how they had talked to her throughout.
  
  I can't thank them both enough for the help and support they offered our family in which is a devastating time for all, I cannot articulate how much I would recommend them for their services and many options they give a grieving family.
